Stewardship At The Wildland-Urban Interface    Unit 5

This unit introduces the subject of land care stewardship for those living at the Wildland-Urban Interface.  Landscape management and design will be presented from the perspective of problems including wildfire and opportunities presented when landowners exist at the urban/wildlands interface. 

Objectives:

• Understand the concept of the wildland-urban interface

• Learn about fire behavior

• Understand and plan for survival in wildfire.

• Learn how to plan for Wildlife Habitat
